Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected on maryjesse.com, how it is used, and your rights, including rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. What We Collect

If you use the contact form on this site, you provide your name, email address, and message directly. No other personal information is collected. We do not purchase data or collect information from any other source.

2. How We Use Your Information

Contact form submissions are used solely to respond to your inquiry. Messages are delivered by email and are not stored in a database on this site.

3. Sharing Your Information

Your information is not sold or rented. It is shared only with the email delivery service used to transmit your message (Resend), and only to the extent necessary to deliver it. It may also be disclosed if required by law.

4. Cookies and Third-Party Services

This site does not use first-party tracking cookies and does not run advertising networks or behavioral profiling. The following third-party services are used:

• Cloudflare Turnstile: The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile for spam protection. Cloudflare may collect your IP address and browser signals to verify you are human. No personal form data is sent to Cloudflare. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
• Webfonts: All fonts are served from this site's own server. No font request is made to Google or any other third party, so your IP address is never disclosed to load them.

This site uses no third-party analytics and no cross-site tracking. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising network, no behavioral profiling, and no cookie consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to.

Our web server does keep standard access logs, as almost every web server does, so we can see aggregate traffic and spot broken links and errors. Visitor IP addresses are truncated before they are written to disk (the final section of the address is replaced with zeroes), so the logs cannot identify you or reliably link two of your visits. These logs record the page requested, the time, the referring site, and the browser type. They are stored only on our own server, are never shared with any third party, and are deleted automatically after 14 days.

Requests to this Privacy Policy page, our Terms of Use page, and our contact and support pages are not logged at all. They are excluded from the access log entirely, so reading them leaves no record of any kind, not even an anonymized one.

5. Lawful Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the UK, personal data is processed on the following bases: legitimate interests (for responding to contact form inquiries you initiate).

6. Data Retention

Anonymized server access logs are kept for 14 days and then deleted. Contact form messages are not stored on this site's servers, they are delivered by email.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: request a copy of any data held about you.
• Correction: ask that inaccurate information be corrected.
• Deletion: ask that your data be deleted.
• Restriction: ask that use of your data be limited.
• Portability: receive your data in a portable format.
• Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests.
• Opt out of sale: your data is not sold, but California residents have this right under CCPA regardless.

8. Security

Reasonable safeguards are used to protect any data transmitted through this site. However, no system is completely secure.
